AMHERST, N.Y. – Å·±¦ÌåÓý’s College of Health Professions will be named The Scott Bieler College of Health Professions in honor of Scott Bieler – a member of the university’s board of trustees and the president and CEO of West Herr Automotive Group, the largest automotive group in New York State and one of the largest privately-owned auto groups in the country.


AMHERST, N.Y. – For the fifth consecutive year, Å·±¦ÌåÓý has been recognized as a top institution of higher education in the country, being named to the U.S. News & World Report 2023-2024 Best National Universities list.


Board of Trustee Chair John R. Yurtchuk has committed $2 million to Å·±¦ÌåÓý, the largest single gift in the institution’s history. The donation will support the President’s Excellence Fund, which ensures the university’s continued vibrancy and long-term stability.


For the sixteenth consecutive year, Å·±¦ÌåÓý has been named a College of Distinction for providing a high-quality undergraduate education that focuses on hands-on learning, strong student-teacher relationships, community involvement, and outcomes-based learning.


AMHERST, N.Y. – Å·±¦ÌåÓý signed a teach-out agreement with Medaille University on Monday afternoon, May 15, following an announcement that Medaille will cease operations effective August 31, 2023.
